Indexed street plan Brussels from Freytag & Berndt, providing convenient coverage of the city centre and the adjoining suburbs for exploring the city’s numerous examples of Art Nouveau architecture, although apart from the Horta Museum none of the famous examples of the Art Nouveau style are specifically marked on the plan.

Coverage extends south to include the districts of St. Gilles and Ixelles, with Avenue Louise up to Abbaye de la Cambre; east to just beyond the outer boulevard ring and Montgomery Square, and so includes the squares of Ambiorix and Marie-Louise; north to Schaerbeek railway station to cover Avenue Louis Bertrand; and west beyond Anderlecht.

Names of smaller streets are given in French only, except where the Dutch version differs significantly. Most main streets have bilingual names. Metro stops, railway stations and various places of interest, including museums, and EU institutions, are prominently marked.

Street index is on the reverse of the map. Also included is a large, clear diagram of the metro and premetro-tram network, plus a map of central Belgium at 1:400,000.
