France: Natural Rock Climbing Sites Map from the IGN highlights climbing locations divided into traditional climbing sites, cliffs, boulders, and via ferrata routes, recommended by the FFME, Fédération Française de la Montange et de l’Escalade.

Eight enlargements show popular areas in greater detail: the Fontainebleau Forest, Les Calanques, Les Alpilles, the Gorges of the Ardèche, the environs of Grenoble and of Nice, Briançon - Serre-Chevalier area and Megève - Cluses area.

The map has as its base IGN’s general road map of France highlighting the country’s motorway network and connecting routes, but also showing many of the local D-roads, all with their numbers. Current edition of this map was prepared in 2006, so not all road information is up to date.

Map legend includes English. Additional text about the FFME and security tips are in French only.

This title is one of several thematic tourist maps published by the IGN with their general road map of France as a base and aiming to present the country’s cultural and historical heritage, opportunities for outdoor pursuits, etc.
