On one side is a map showing the beaches attacked by forces under the British command: Gold June, Sword and area of airborne landings east of the Orne and the Pegasus Bridge. An inset extends the coverage further inland to present the Battle of the Falaise Gap.

On the reverse are the landing sites of the American forces on the Utah and Omaha beaches, extending south to St-Lo with an additional inset for the Cherbourg area.
