Road map of Western Ukraine and an indexed street plan of Lviv from Polish publishers ExpressMap, on a laminated, waterproof and tear-resistant map with plenty of tourist information.

Names of towns and villages are shown in Cyrillic alphabet only. Cities, smaller towns and villages connected with Polish history are also given their old Polish names, Stanislawów, Kamieniec Podolski, etc, including many places of Jewish interest like Belz or Brody. Names of geographical regions, mountain ranges or national parks are in Polish.

The map shows the area’s road network, indicating distances on main routes, locations of petrol stations and border crossings. Railway lines are shown with stations. A wide range of symbols highlights tourist accommodation, campsites, mountain shelters, historical monuments, churches and cemeteries of various denominations, etc. The base map has contours at 100m intervals with relief shading and latitude/longitude grid at intervals of 10’.

On the reverse is a detailed, indexed street plan of Lviv, showing tram and trolleybus routes with stops and line numbers. Street names are in Cyrillic only. Names of various monuments and historical buildings are in Polish. Coverage extends from the central railway station eastward to include the exhibition grounds with various examples of local countryside architecture and the cemetery (indicating graves of many prominent Poles connected with the town). An enlargement shows the city centre in greater detail.

The legends for both the road map and the street plan include English. General notes on the area and its history are in Polish only. Also included is a table from transliteration from Cyrillic to Roman alphabet.
