Aquitaine, the administrative region of France stretching along the Atlantic coast from the Garonne estuary and Bordeaux to the western Pyrenees, presented at 1:280,000 on a tourist map produced by the IGN in cooperation with the regional authorities.

The base map highlights the region’s forests and woodlands, including the Parc Naturel Régional des Landes de Gascogne. Picturesque locations are highlighted, and icons indicate various places of interest including historical and cultural sights, prehistoric caves, numerous sport and recreational facilities, etc.

An overprint highlights the course of the Way of St James to Santiago de Compostela, with special icons both along the route and in other parts of the regions indicating sites and remains connected with the pilgrimage. An inset shows the wine growing areas withing the region, including the famous vineyards around Bordeaux. The map has no geographical coordinates and is not indexed. Map legend includes English.
