Barcelona at 1:15,000 is an indexed map with additional street plans and enlargements of popular regions. The publisher has chosen to concentrate on creating a map which will primarily be of use for a tourist navigating between main points of interest as opposed to stressing more detailed cartography.

Motorways, highways, main and minor roads and railway lines are extremely clearly marked. A map of the metro network is given, with metro and commuter train stops pinpointed above ground and, where applicable, funicular railways and cable cars are shown. The location of the airports can be seen on the Barcelona area map which also details some scenic drive routes along the coast and into the mountains.

In keeping with the publisher’s emphasis on a general navigational, tourist related map things such as national parks, hotels and camp sites, areas for water sports and beaches, museums and churches, as well as other places of interest are all specifically highlighted.

Also included on the map is a small chart indicating average temperatures, levels of rainfall and hours of sunlight for each month, a table indicating distances between major towns in the region and a calendar of events.

Aswell as maps of Barcelona itself and its surrounding region, the map also comprises greater detail street plans of Pedralbes and Les Corts, Montjuïc, the Marina, La ribera, Barri Gòtic, La Rambla and Gràcia and Eixample.
