The map is double-sided, showing the main part of the national park on one side, with the panhandle of the Tara Canyon on the reverse, presented in two sections. Contours are at 20m intervals, with spot heights and graphics to show rocks, crags, karst and scree, plus symbols to indicate different types of woodlands or pastures. Road network includes local field and forest tracks and ski or chair lifts are shown. An overprint highlights both waymarked hiking routes and other walking trails.
