Street plans of Fès and the nearby Meknès combined into one colourful map with plenty of tourist information, including locations of different crafts in the souks of the medina and other places of interest in both towns.

Each plan occupies half the map and shows both the town’s historic heart with the medina where only main streets are named and the adjoining modern part, the Ville Nouvelle, where more street names are provided. In both areas a wide range of symbols highlight various places of interest and tourist facilities, including selected hotels, youth hostels, taxi ranks, railway and coach stations, religious and cultural institutions, markets, etc.

Within the medina, which in Fès includes an enlargement of the main souks area, symbols indicate locations of different trades and craftsmen: jewellers, leather workers, blacksmith and copperware sellers, carpet sellers, dried fruit and spices, musical instruments, etc.

Each town has an index of streets, gates to the Old City, main places of interest, selected hotels, etc. A small inset shows the road and rail connections between the two towns. Also included is a glossary.

Map legend and other information is in English and French.
