Road Atlas of Italy at 1:350,000 from Touring Club Italiano with 28 pages of motorway profiles, 14 enlargements for environs of main cities, 206 street plans, a list of all communes, plus an extensive index of place names.

The opening section of the atlas has 28 pages showing the country’s entire motorway network as route diagrams, with the number of lanes, exits, toll barriers, rest areas, services with full details of facilities including types of fuel, etc. Intermediate driving distances are given in both directions.

92-page map section at 1:350,000 shows the country’s road network with seven grades of roads, indicating scenic routes, tolls routes, seasonal closures, gradients, etc. The maps carry plenty of tourist information, with grading for towns or villages of particular interest, as well as for holiday resorts, historical and artistic sites and natural features. National parks and other protected areas are highlighted. Very effective relief shading shows the topography, with plenty of names of mountain ranges, valley, peaks, etc. The maps have no geographical coordinates

Enlargements at 1:87,500 show the environs of Bari, Bologna, Cagliari, Catania, Florence, Genoa, Messina - Reggio di Calabria, Milan, Naples, Palermo, Pescara - Chieti, Rome, Turin and Venice. The maps clearly present all the motorway junctions and name the exits.

The following section has street plans of 206 towns and cities, from Abano Terme to Volterra, Scales and sizes of the plans vary - for larger towns the plans cover the city centre with its main tourist sights. The plans show car parks and indicate main traffic routes. Many of the plans are contoured, e.g. Assisi, Agrigento, Siena, Urbino, etc., etc., showing their unique topography.

40 pages with a list all administrative communes show each one with its postal code, distance to the provincial capital and the name of the administrative region. Extensive 48-page index of place names for the road mapping includes geographical features such as mountains, etc. The atlas also has a very comprehensive distance table.
