Italy at 1:800,000 on a double-sided map from Kümmerly + Frey, emphasizing and grading locations worth visiting and highlighting national parks and other protected areas, with enlargements for areas around eight main cities.

The map divides the country north/south, with the northern half including most of Switzerland, Austrian Alps and much of Slovenia and extending south to Naples. The southern half starts in Rome. Topography is shown by faint relief shading, with spot heights and names of mountain ranges, peaks, valleys, etc.

Road colouring does not always distinguish clearly enough between the motorway network and regional roads, both shown in red. Scenic routes are highlighted and the map indicates seasonal openings and restricted entry roads, steep gradients, motorway services, etc. Interesting locations are prominently marked, highlighting those of special interest, and national parks or other protected areas are also clearly shown. Small symbols mark other places of tourist interest including campsites, viewpoints, etc. Latitude and longitude lines are at 30' intervals. The index, in a separate booklet attached to the map cover, includes a distance table, opening times of mountain passes and lists of regional tourist offices.

The map also includes enlargements showing road access to and main routes across Milan, Turin, Genoa, Florence, Rome, Naples, Reggio di Calabria – Messina and Palermo.

The northern half (up to Rome) and southern part of this map are also available separately, with their scale enlarged to 1:650,000.
