The map covers various groups of atolls on separate panels, with an overview map of the whole archipelago providing a key to how the panels fit together. One on side are the most visited atolls: Malé, Ari and Felidhoo, presented at 1:340,000 and showing locations of holiday resorts, all annotated with symbols indicating what facilities can be found there. Also marked are numerous scuba diving sites. The map is indexed for islands, places, resorts and scuba diving sites. Also provided is an indexed street plan of Malé showing public buildings and selected hotels.

On the reverse the remaining groups of atolls: northern, central and southern are shown at 1:900,000, presented and indexed as the main map.
