Double-sided map of Patagonia with enlargements for the national parks area in northern Patagonia, Peninsula Valdez, and the whole of the southern Patagonia with Tierra del Fuego, plus street plans of main towns and resorts.

On one side is a map of the whole of the Argentinian Patagonia at 1:2,500,000, showing the region’s road network with colours clearly distinguishing different grades of main and local roads. Intermediate driving distance are given on most routes, including minor local roads. Provincial boundaries are marked. Symbols highlight national parks and other places of interest. Topography is indicated by relief shading with spot heights and names of mountain ranges.

Enlargements show Peninsula Valdez (1:500,000) and northern Patagonia’s main tourist area, the national parks centred on San Carlos de Bariloche and extending north to Zapala and south to Esquel (1:1,000,000), covering both the Argentinian and the Chilean side of the Andes.

On the reverse is the southern part of Patagonia, from Monte Fitz Roy and Los Glaciares National Park to Cape Horn, presented at a more detailed scale of 1:1,000,000. The map extends to the Chilean side and includes Torres del Paine National Park and the whole of Tierra del Fuego with the mainland and the islands west of it. Map legend includes English.

Also included are street plans of the central areas in Patagonia’s main towns and resorts: Ushuaia, Río Gallegos, Puerto Madryn, Bariloche, Trelew and Comodoro Rivadavia, each annotated with brief notes in Spanish.

The map also provides numerous recommendations of accommodation in Bariloche, with a small selection for other towns, plus of distance to Buenos Aires and a list of the region’s town by population.
