San Francisco on a light, waterproof and tear-resistant map from Berndtson, highlighting the city’s 15 top sights, all with brief descriptions, plus a road map of the S.F. Bay Area and diagrams of public transport network.

On one side is a plan at 1:13,000 of the city’s central and northern districts, extending south to Castro and west to the Golden Gate Bridge, with the whole of the Golden Gate Park shown on the reverse side. 15 top sights are prominently marked, with a separate panel providing brief descriptions. Cable car lines are clearly marked and metro stations are annotated with line numbers. The plan highlights various places of interest, as well as selected hotels both in the downtown area and Fisherman’s Wharf.

On the reverse, in addition to the plan of the Golden Gate Park, are road maps of the city and its region (1:150,000) showing access to the international airport and of the whole of the Bay Area (1:400,000). Both the street plan and the road maps are indexed, including separate lists of places of interest, hotels, etc. Also included are two diagrams of the public transport network, graphs showing the city’s climate month by month, a time zone map of USA, and general tourist information.
