On one side is a map at 1:4,800,000 of the southern part of the continent; the reverse side shows in greater detail the Chilean fjords from Puerto Montt to Tierra del Fuego at 1: 2,200,000 indicating ferry routes. The two sides highlight 30 places of interest from the Juan Fernández Archipelago in the Pacific to the Falkland Islands and Montevideo including inland destinations such as San Carlos de Bariloche and the Torres del Paine National Park. All are prominently marked on the maps and annotated with descriptions.
