Road Atlas of Switzerland from Kümmerly + Frey in A4, spiral-bound format, with indexed street plans of 35 towns. The road map section has the same cartography as the folded maps from this publisher, with very detailed presentation of the road classification, information on toll roads, traffic restrictions, seasonal closures, roads with traffic controlled by timetable, etc. The maps also clearly show the rail network (including mountain railways, cable car lines and chairlifts) and indicate viewpoints, spas, motels, both seasonal and permanent campsites etc. Map legend is in French and German only. The index lists towns and villages with their postcodes. This section also contains a distance table and lists of border crossings, road tunnels, alpine passes, and lakes (indicating where car ferries are available).
The second part of the atlas has indexed street plans of 35 main towns in Switzerland, presented at different scales. Basle, Bern, Geneva and Zurich are covered on two or more pages to include the suburbs. The plans indicate public transport, car parks, post office and other official buildings, etc. Each town is listed separately in the street index. The legend is in German, French and Italian only.
Other towns included in the atlas are: Aarau, Ascona, Baden, Bellinzona, Biel/Bienne, Burgdorf, La-Chaux-de-Fonds, Chur, Frauenfeld, Fribourg/Freiburg, Grenchen, Herisau, Kreuzlingen, Lausanne, Liestal, Locarno, Lucerne, Lugano, Mendrisio, Montreux, Neuchâtel, Olten, Rorschach, Schaffhausen, Sion, Solothurn, St. Gallen, Thun, Vevey, Winterthur, and Zug
