Indexed general map of Turkmenistan with a plan of central Ashkhabad. All place names are in Cyrillic alphabet. The country’s topography is shown by altitude colouring with spot heights, indicating seasonal rivers and lakes, deserts, marshland, etc.

The map shows Turkmenistan’s rail and road networks, with intermediate driving distances on main routes. Local administrative boundaries are also marked. Latitude and longitude grid is at intervals of 1º.

An inset covers central Ashkhabad at 1:25,000. A separate leaflet has an index of localities and notes on the country’s history, geography, economic development, etc.

All place names are in Cyrillic alphabet. MNap legend and all the text are in Russian only.
