Hawaiian Islands on a light, waterproof and tear-resistant, double-sided map from Berndtson, highlighting the islands’ 15 top sights, with an enlargement for the Kilauea Caldera on Hawaii and a street plan of Honolulu.

On one side are Oahu and Kauai at 1:200,000, with Niihau at 1:400,000, plus a street plan of Honolulu. On the reverse, Maui, Lanai, Molokai and Kahoolawe are shown at 1:200,000, with Hawaii (Big Island) at 1:400,000, plus an enlargement at 1:100,000 for the Kilauea Caldera indicating various fields of lava flow.

Topography is shown by relief shading with numerous spot heights. National parks and other protected areas are highlighted. The maps show the road network, including selected dirt tracks and paths. 15 top sights are prominently marked, with a separate panel providing brief descriptions. Symbols mark locations of other places of interest, including campsites, beaches, windsurfing and paragliding sites, caves, etc. None of the maps have geographical coordinates.

The street plan of Honolulu indicates one way streets, places of interest and locations of 42 selected hotels.

All the maps and plans are indexed, including separate lists of places of interest, beaches, etc. Also included are graphs showing the archipelago’s climate month by month, a map of USA showing time zones, plus general tourist information.
