A double sided map of South America to the scale of 1:9,260,000. One side of the map is South America-Political, the other South-Physical. Lines of latitude and longitude are displayed on both maps. The map also features the Falkland Islands and South Georgia to scale and an enlarged inset of the Galapagos Islands for the sake of geographical positioning.

The South America Political map displays national flags along and details basic information about each country’s capital, population, language and currency along its top. Spot heights are given for major mountain peaks across the continent. Airports, national, main and some seasonal roads as well as a range of cities, towns and villages are marked on the map. Major rail routes are indicated but are quite difficult to make out.

The South America-Physical map is presented with eight tones of brown shading relief and some spot heights. Each country is clearly marked with its capital city and national boundaries in purple. Special emphasis is given to the display of rivers and lakes. The map also includes a basic selection of physical geographical facts about the continent.
