The map has contours at 100m intervals with altitude colouring plus relief shading based on satellite imagery and shows names various peaks, ridges, craters, etc. of both Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru, and in the surrounding countryside. Trekking and climbing routes are marked, with refuges, ranger stations and campsites all clearly identified. An enlargement shows the peak of Kilimanjaro above the Barranco Camp, Kibo Hut and School Hut in greater detail.

In Arusha, Moshi and Marangu, as well as in the approaches to the two mountains and in their surrounding national parks overprint highlights tourist accommodation including hotels, lodges, rangers posts and campsites, various places of interest, viewpoints, medical facilities, etc. The index has separate lists of towns or settlements and various facilities or places of interest. The map has a UTM grid, plus latitude and longitude margin ticks at 5’ intervals. Multilingual map legend includes English.
