The Golf Guide lists all courses in alphabetical order, and each course is also colour-coded according to its regional location. Basic information on each course is provided, such as course address, contact details, facilities, information on each hole, a small course map and a map detailing directions to each course. The golf map of Portugal is at a scale of 1:600,000, and shows all major and regional roads and provides distance in kilometres between destinations. Also marked are railway lines, district boundaries, airports, hospitals, spas, world heritage sites, historic villages, protected areas, pousada’s as well as train and ferry car transportation. Each golf course listed in the guide is very clearly marked on the map. Insets include simple maps of Madeira, Porto Santo and the Azores that show major roads and golf course locations. The reverse of the map includes an enlarged 1:210,000 scale map of the Algarve, which depicts in greater detail the beaches and golf courses along the coastline. Street plans are also provided for Lagos, Portimao, Albufeira, Vilamoura, Faro and Tavira. Information within the guide and on the map is given in English and Portuguese.
