Street plan of Astana in an English language edition, with extensive tourist information including lists of hotels, banks, shopping centres, etc, plus a map of the Akmolinskaya Oblast showing road and rail networks.

The main plan covers the capital’s built-up areas: the Almaty and Saryarka districts, with names of “microdistricts”. Streets are shown with selected house numbers for easier identification of addresses. Areas of both districts not covered by urban development are simply annotated as “dachas” and presented with street without names.

Symbols highlight various places of interest and facilities, many cross-referenced to extensive lists on the reverse of the map with addresses and phone numbers of 35 hotels, 22 banks, 21 embassies or consulates, 17 shopping malls, 23 restaurants and cafes, various cultural and medical institutions, saunas and bath houses, etc.

The plan is indexed and also includes notes on the city’s history, a reproduction of a 1914 map of the Akmolinskaya Oblast, plus a present day map of the province at 1:2,000,000 showing its road and rail network.
