Michelin’s street plan of Barcelona at 1:12,000 is primarily designed to be used for access to and travel across the city by car, given its wide coverage of the outer suburbs and detailed presentation of the surrounding motorway network.

This very large map presents the city within the surrounding motorway ring. Road network is shown with the usual care associated with Michelin’s road maps: detailed layout of motorway junctions, dual carriageways, tunnels, etc. Main traffic arteries leading to the city centre are highlighted; one way streets and car parks are marked.

The plan shows rail and metro lines with names of stations, with an additional diagram for the whole network including suburban railway lines and a separate map showing public transport access to the airport. Also marked are numerous taxi ranks.

Public buildings and facilities such as museums, theatres, historical monuments, churches, etc. from Sagrada Familia to Camp Nou, are highlighted and named. An enlargement shows the city’s Old Town in greater detail at 1:7,000, with a separate inset extending it to cover La Barceloneta area.

Map legend includes English. The index, in a separate booklet attached to the map cover, is arranged by location, with streets in the outer suburbs listed separately.
