Road Atlas of Europe from MairDumont in an A4 spiral-bound format with street plans of 56 capitals and main towns, presented with the publisher’s innovative system of providing peel-on/peel-off stickers for making selected locations more prominent when navigating. Coverage includes the European part of Russia, the whole of Turkey.

The atlas shows the network of main and secondary roads, indicating driving distances on many local routes and locations of border crossings. Scenic routes are highlighted. Main railway lines and ferry routes are also included.

Numerous interesting towns and villages, as well as many other historical, cultural or natural sights are prominently highlighted. Topography is indicated by bold relief shading with plenty of names of mountain ranges, etc. In countries using Cyrillic or Greek alphabet all place names are shown transliterated. The maps have no geographical coordinates. Extensive index list many places with their postcodes.

Map legend includes English.

Street plans at 1:20,000 show city centres of 56 capitals and main cities from Amsterdam to Zurich, with Monaco, Monte Carlo and Venice shown at more detailed scales. Also provided is information on emergency numbers and driving regulations in all the countries.

A special feature of MairDumont’s range of “Marco Polo” maps and atlases is a set of seven peel-on/peel-off stickers which can be placed on the maps to help with navigating, and removed without damaging the surface.
