Road classification as interstate or state highways include details of the number of lanes, intermediate driving distances, toll roads and rest areas. Minor and un-surfaced roads are also shown, as are ferry routes and airports. Scenic routes are highlighted where applicable.

Native Indian land and land belonging to the U.S military are clearly designated on the maps, as are state capitals and boundaries, border crossings and time zone limits. Minimal grey relief shading is shown, as is each state’s highest point of elevation. National and State forests and parks are clearly demarcated with variable green shading and other state lands are detailed in the legend.
