Atlantic Provinces of Canada on an indexed road map at 1:800,000 with Newfoundland at 1:1,400,000, plus street maps of the region’s main cities, an overview route planning map, a distance table, and contact details for information on ferry services.
On one side two panels present at 1:800,000 New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island, plus the Gaspé Peninsula of Quebec to extend the coverage to the estuary of the Saint Lawrence River. Road network indicates unpaved and unimproved roads and gives distances on main routes. National and provinces parks are highlighted and symbols indicate campsites, tourist information offices, etc. The panels have no geographical coordinates; each province has a separate index. On the reverse the region’s main towns: Halifax, Sydney, Fredericton, Moncton, Saint John and Charlottetown are shown in greater detail on street maps at scales between 1:100,000 and 1:40,000.
The reverse side also includes a similar road map of Newfoundland at 1:1,400,000, with enlargements for the environs of St. John’s and the New World Island, plus a street plan of St. John’s. Two more street maps show main locations on Labrador: Labrador City and Happy Valley - Goose Bay, while Labrador itself is presented on an overview map of main roads in south-eastern Canada extending west to Quebec City and Saguenay. The map also includes a distance table plus contact details for ferry services.
