      Integrated Transport Network Layer (ITN)

      The ITN Layer is a detailed, accurate and up-to-date digital dataset consisting of a Roads Network theme. The data is supplied in ESRI shapefile format for use in a GIS or in AutoCAD (if converted to dxf/ dwg using AutoCAD Map 3D).

      • The Roads Network contains road categories, from motorways and primary routes to named and unnamed minor roads and local streets and includes the following attributes and features:

      ITN pricing:

      Through Stanfords Portal the data costs £12.95 + vat per km2, with a minimum entry level of 1km2. Although customers can draw smaller areas than 1km2 if they wish we are obliged to charge the minimum amount as we have to return the equivalent of a 1km2 minimum royalty to Ordnance Survey. After the first km2 however the pricing is calculated pro rata so 1.5km would be £19.42 + vat for example. Orders placed through our Service Centre incur slightly higher pricing of £13.95 + vat per km2 and the same conditions apply as above.

      Please note that the above image is an example of what can be created when the ITN layer is overlaid on a topographical map dataset such as OS Mastermap. The ITN file itself is a dataset and has no topographical mapping included within the file.
