      OS VectorMap® District is a map on which you can overlay your own information. It can also be customised by selecting and styling different features in different ways. Ideal for creating web applications, OS VectorMap District contains only the most important information to give you a clear, uncluttered backdrop map.

      • Features and Benefits:

      • Ideal for presenting information in a broad geographical context.
      • Allows users to highlight information relevant to a specific project or audience.
      • Community services are included such as education establishments and police stations.
      • Road names on classified and minor roads.
      • Useful for Asset Management.
      • Useful for creating customised cartographic products.
      • Acts as a backdrop dataset over which other data can be loaded (points of interest/ addresses).

       

      Technical Details:   

      • Formats: ESRI Shapefiles; MapInfo TAB; MapInfo MID/ MIF.
      • Data structure: Vectors.
      • Attributes: Vector. Aids styling via the identification of thematic layers such as named places and administrative boundaries.
      • Scale: District.
      • Supply: Online as downloadable files through Stanfords portal (depending on file size). Otherwise on CD or DVD.
      • Coverage: Great Britain.

       

      There is a minimum charge of £3 + vat for up to 1km2; the price thereafter is £0.05 + vat per km pro rata. Please note that for areas greater than c 4km2 the data file will be too large for your Stanfords Portal download area and will therefore need to be sent to you on DVD/ CD. Postage and Packing costs apply.
