Attributes:
The information on which the reports are based comes from what is known as the attribute schema. This is in fact nothing more complex than a csv file that is uploaded and defined at the point of set up; please note that we are able to create any schema that you wish. For instance the TIDEE schema is based on information relating to the legal aspects of managing a portfolio, in particular the rent roll. Below is an example of such a schema and you will see that the number of bedrooms is in one column, the rent value is in another, the name of the mortgage lender in another and so on. It is this splitting of the relevant data units into individual columns of a csv that allows a report such as "show me all my 3 bedroom houses, with rent > £150 per week, in postcode BS1 1HT, with the mortgage lender = Prudential" to be generated, saved, downloaded and displayed.

Stanfords GIS also allows users to produce two distinct types of print output:
1. Reports. As mentioned above your report results can be displayed on the mapping but as well as that these maps can then created as printable pdfs. This is ideal for supplying evidence of trends at meetings and, as with the legal prints above these can be produced by users at no extra charge. The sheet sizes available are A4, A3, A2, A1 and the background mapping will either be on Ordnance Survey large-scale MasterMap (1:125/ 1:2500), OS Streetview (1:10,000), OS VectorMap District, OS 1:250,000 or OS mini-scale depending on the spread of the results and the sheet size selected.

2. A4 and A3 large-scale plots to support activities such as stock transfers, right to buy, conveyancing, planning permission and if you are currently purchasing these "location/ block plans" from a supplier you may be able to offset the cost of Stanfords GIS purely on the basis of being able to print these plans off for no additional cost.
