Chile and Argentina at 1:2,000,000 on a large, indexed, double-sided map from Michelin with clear presentation of the two countries’ topography and their road networks, plus overview street plans of central Santiago and Buenos Aires.
The map divides the two countries north/south with a good overlap between the two sides. The north-eastern corner of Argentina with the Missiones Province and Iguazú Falls is shown as an inset. Relief shading presents the topography, with plenty of names of mountain ranges, main peaks and passes. National parks and other protected areas are marked. Road network distinguishes between paved and unsurfaced routes and indicates tracks suitable only for 4WD vehicles. Driving distances are marked on main routes. Railway lines are included and domestic airports are marked. Various places of interest are clearly highlighted. The map also shows internal administrative borders with names of the provinces. Latitude and longitude lines are drawn at intervals of 1º. The index is arranged by country. Map legend includes English.
The map includes overview plans of central Santiago and Buenos Aires showing main streets, metro and rail stations and highlighting each city’s main sights. Also provided are separate distance tables.
PLEASE NOTE: the same cartography, also at 1:2,000,000, is also used in the Michelin’s map covering just Argentina, which includes Chile south of Talca but without covering all the coastal areas until Puerto Natales.
