The map has contours at 100m intervals, enhanced altitude colouring, plus graphics to show cultivated areas. Borders of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region are clearly marked. Road network shows main and secondary routes. Railway lines are also shown, plus airports and main sea ports.

The map has latitude and longitude margin ticks at 15’ intervals. All place names are in both Chinese characters and Latin alphabet, and where appropriate in English. Map legend is in Chinese and English. Current edition was published in 2001.
