Exploring Zurich on foot and by bike on a set of maps designed to show walks accessible by public transport network and cycling routes, published by Kümmerly+Frey in cooperation with transport authorities and cycling organizations.

The main map is double-sided. One side is dedicated to exploring the city on foot using public transport facilities. Recommended walks are highlighted in different colours according to the type of environment. Public transport routes are marked: tram and bus routes with stops and line numbers, train connections with stations, post-auto services and ferry routes on the lake. Symbols indicate car parks, park+ride and car sharing locations, covered or open air swimming pools, viewpoints, etc.

On the reverse the plan provides information for cyclists: recommended routes along streets and across the city’s green spaces, with alternative faster routes for regular users. Different types of cycle parking facilities, steep inclines, roads closed to cyclists, etc. are marked.

On both sides there are enlargements for the city centre and Oerlikon. Coverage extends from Seebach in the north to Zollikon in the south and from Oberengstringen in the west to Dübendort in the east, with the cycling side extending slightly further north.

The plan is accompanied by a separate map with diagrams of bus routes and local and regional railway lines with tariff zones, plus a 97-page booklet with an index and advice on exploring the city on foot or by bike and information on the public transport network.

Map legend and all the text are in German only.
