Tasmania in a series of waterproof and tear-resistant maps from Explore Australia covering the country’s popular holiday destinations and combining regional coverage with enlargements for popular areas, street plans and extensive tourist information, including descriptions of main sights, etc.

The regional map covers approximately half of one side of the map. Relief shading very effectively shows the topography, with marking for main peaks and colouring highlighting national and state parks or forests and other protected areas. Main unsealed roads are clearly presented; smaller unsealed roads and vehicle tracks are shown as thin lines not that easy to see against the background shading. Icons highlight various facilities and services. Unless specified in the individual description, the maps are indexed and have no geographical coordinates. The rest of the main side is covered by general notes on the region and attractions or activities it has to offer.

On the reverse is more detailed information on selected area with recommendations for things to do, there to eat and stay, etc., accompanied by street plans and map enlargements.
