Tasmania at 1:500,000 in a series of double-sided maps, combining coverage of the whole state with more detailed mapping of the suburbs and environs of main cities. The state maps are indexed and show the road network including unsurfaced roads and tracks, plus railways. Topography is indicated by names of deserts, mountain ranges and selected peaks, with national parks, reserves and protected areas, aboriginal lands, and World Heritage sites highlighted. Symbols provide limited tourist information, highlighting places of interest and information centres, and mark locations of gas and oil fields, hydroelectric power stations, lighthouses, etc. The maps have a grid showing latitude and longitude at 1º intervals. On the reverse each title has a map of the suburbs and environs of its main city.

In this title: on the reverse is a more detailed, indexed map at 1:80,000 of the suburbs and environs of Hobart, plus four overview maps of the state showing State Forests, Conservation Areas, National Parks and World Heritage Areas.
