Physical map of the world from a series regularly featured in numerous style magazines, such as Homes and Gardens and Elle Decoration. Country names and international boundaries are clearly displayed to provide political information. This version (300 x 222cm / 9ft 10" x 7ft 4" approx.) comes as a set of six separate sheets which can be assembled either Atlantic or Pacific centred.

Fewer cities and names of geographical features are shown than on other maps of similar size to make political boundaries stand out better and to give the maps in this series their characteristic uncluttered look much favoured by interior designers for homes, offices and, in particular, travel agencies. Country names are in English and cities mostly in local languages (Warszawa, Wien, El Qâhira,) with, where necessary, English equivalents.

Numerous shipping lanes show distances between ports in nautical miles. Clocks indicate time difference from GMT (but without the map indicating the exact geographical area covered by each time zone). The map is overlaid with a grid showing latitude and longitude at intervals of 1’ to help identify accurate position of various locations. Projection is Mercator.

This map is also available in two smaller sizes:
- a single sheet Pacific centred (142 x 107cm / 4ft 8" x 3ft 6" approx.), on paper or encapsulated
- a 3-sheet set (204 x 146cm / 6ft 8" x 4ft 10" approx.), available on paper or already assembled and encapsulated, either Atlantic or Pacific centred.

Please note:

Before assembly, it is necessary to trim the borders of the individual sheets.

The paper used for this map is not suitable for use as wallpaper. However, a similar design is used for a spectacular, huge, 396 x 264cm / 13’ft x 8ft 8” approx. wallpaper set supplied with wallpaper paste, as shown below.
