Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia-Herzegovina on an indexed road map at 1:500,000 from Hallwag offering a very good choice for those who need cross-border coverage of north-western Balkans with the Adriatic coast of Italy. In the north the map includes much of Carinthia and a large part of Hungary with most of Lake Balaton. Coverage of the Italian coast of the Adriatic extends past Ancona to Pescara. Also included is much of Montenegro with Podgorica and the Durmitor National Park.

The map has a light base with subtle relief shading and colouring but still provides a good representation of the topography through plenty of names of individual mountain ranges, peaks, valleys, etc. National parks are highlighted. Road network indicates partial motorway junctions and services, sections closed to motorized traffic, gradients on steep roads, opening months of mountain passes, etc. Driving distances are marked on main routes and selected connecting roads. Scenic routes are highlighted. Railway lines indicate connections with car transport facilities, domestic airports are marked, and on the Adriatic ferry routes are shown.

A range of symbols highlights various places of interest. The map has latitude and longitude lines at intervals of 15’ and 30’ respectively. The index is in a separate booklet attached to the map cover and includes a distance table, plus driving regulations and other useful information for drivers in Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
