Czech Republic Tourist Atlas from Shocart with over 600 pages of contoured mapping at an exceptionally detailed scale of 1:50,000 with hiking and cycling trails, presented in an A4 ring-binder with a hard slipcase. Each page is removable so coverage can be easily assembled for just selected parts of the country, or individual pages used on their own, protected by a plastic folder provided with the atlas.

Detailed mapping, based on the country’s topographic survey, has contours at 10m intervals enhanced by relief shading and spot heights, plus graphics and colouring to show various types terrain, vegetation or land use, e.g. rock formations, swamps and bogs, orchards and vineyards, etc. National parks and other protected areas are highlighted. All the pages have a 1km UTM grid.

Extensive overprint highlights waymarked hiking trails, indicating, where appropriate, their official numbers, including pan-European routes such as the E3. Sections with chains or ladders are marked, as are routes subject to seasonal closures. Hiking times are also shown on some sections.

The overprint also shows the network of signposted cycling paths, with waymarking, numbering and locations of cycle repair services and hire facilities.

Road network is presented in great detail, including local dirt roads and cart tracks, with locations of petrol stations and, where necessary, parking facilities. Railways are shown with stations; cable car lines, chair and ski lifts, etc. are marked.

A very extensive range of symbols highlight a wide range of facilities and places of interest: various types of accommodation, campsites, mountain shelters, sport and recreational facilities, UNESCO heritage sites, notable examples of folk architecture or Jewish history, etc.

An extensive index lists all localities with their postcodes. Detailed and informative map legend includes English.
