Germany on a double-sided road map of at 1:800,000 from the AA, with cartography by Freytag & Berndt, features enlargements showing road access to the country's five main cities.

On one side the map covers northern Germany up to Bonn and Dresden; a generous overlap sees these two cities repeated on the reverse. Additionally the map extends its coverage to include Nakskov in the north, Lausanne, Luzern and Innsbruck in the south, Amsterdam and Maastricht in the west and Prague and Linz in the East.

Strong colours show road details: toll and toll-free motorways, motorway numbers, dual carriageways, main and secondary roads and distances are marked in kilometres. Railways, airports, ferry routes with car transportation where available are indicated.

The topography of the country is represented by light shading, colouring and spot heights. National parks, mountain ranges and protected areas are shown as well as forests, lakes and rivers.

Symbols indicate places of interests such as castles, archaeological sites, World Heritage places, etc. Administrative and national boundaries are clearly highlighted. Lines of longitude and latitude are marked at 1° intervals.

Enlargements show in greater details road access to Berlin, Munich, Cologne, Hamburg and Frankfurt.

The map is indexed and the multilingual legend includes English.
