Mexico at 1:1,089,000 approx on an A4, paperback, indexed road and tourist atlas from the Mexico City-based Ediciones Independencia, with mapping highlighting numerous places of interest, plus large clear street plans and maps of city environs.

The atlas covers Mexico on 56 pages showing the road and rail network on plain background with no specific topographic information beyond names of main mountain chains. Boundaries of time zones are prominently marked. A large number of locations are annotated with icons indicating what tourist facilities and places of interest can be found there. This means that whilst on most pages the road network is very clear and easy to see, in the more popular areas icons often obscure local roads. Geographical coordinates are provided as margin ticks lo latitude and longitude at intervals of 1’. The atlas has an extensive index. Map legend is in Spanish only.

15 of Mexico’s main cities are shown on very clear, detailed town centre street plans highlighting main sights, plus each on a map of its environs or outer suburbs with an index of places of interest. The cities covered are: Mexico City, Cancún, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Puebla, Acapulco, Veracruz, Guanajuato, Mérida, Cuernavaca, Oaxaca, Toluca, Tuxtla Guitiérrez, San Luis Potosí and Querétaro.
