Netherlands Road Atlas at 1:100,000 in an A4 spiral-bound format from the ANWB, the country’s main motoring organization, with exceptionally clear cartography and large amount of tourist information, including accommodation, cycle hire, etc.

Road network is finely graded and includes small, unsurfaced local roads, Motorway junctions are clearly numbered and named, and on main roads locations of petrol stations and driving distances are marked. Also indicated are roads restricted to motorized traffic and parking facilities in the popular tourist spots. Both in coastal waters and across inland waterways car ferry connections are marked. Railway lines are shown with stations. The atlas also shows locations of cycle hire outlets, indicating those close to railway stations.

A wide range of symbols indicate various places of interest, including accommodation (bungalow parks, campsites, Stayok inns), eating places in remote locations, nature and cultural sites, sport and recreational facilities, etc. Terrain information is provided by colouring according to land use: dunes, heath, woodlands, industrial, etc.

The maps have no geographical coordinates. Map legend is in Dutch only but is colour coded and very clearly laid out in sections such as infrastructure, culture, nature, activities, accommodation, etc., so most of the information is self-explanatory. Also provided is a distance table.
