Cartography shows major, minor and secondary roads, as well as tracks. Peak heights are clearly shown, as are international and provincial boundaries.

The map is also notable for the bathymetric detail, with colour shading used to denote different sea depths, with depths also marked clearly.

The reverse of the map contains a hugely detailed gazetteers with names used with the locations to the nearest 5 minutes; the map is simple conic projection with standard parallels 5° S and 8° S.
