The atlas is part of a series of pocket-size paperback street atlases from Philip’s covering Britain’s cities and towns, each fully indexed. Main roads across are prominently coloured to indicate motorways, primary routes, plus A and B roads. Pedestrianised areas, car pars or Park & Ride facilities are indicates. Where appropriate, the city centre is shown enlarged.

Symbols and/or colouring indicate different types of public buildings or business use, including retail and industrial, leisure and educational, emergency services, places of worship, post offices, etc. Unless specified to the contrary in the individual description, each title also has a route planning map of the city’s environs and shows postcode and county or unitary authority boundaries.
