France: AOC Wines and Brandies (Vins et Eaux-de-Vie d’Appellation d’Origine) map presents the country with each of its the principal wine growing regions highlighted in a different colour and annotated with its official name (Vignobles de Bourgogne), the sectors within in (Côte-de-Nuits, Côte-de-Beaune, Mâconnais, etc.), plus names of individual appellations within them (Nuits-St-Georges, Pommard, Pouilly-Fuissé, etc.).
Around the map are lists proving names of all the appellations in each region and indicating which colour wine they produce (red, white and rosé). The lists include wines with the VDSQ classification (Vin Délimité de Qualité Supérieure), as well as regional liqueurs and spirits indicating those with AOR classification (Applletions d’Origine Réglementées).
The background is provided by a map showing the country’s geography with a generalized altitude colouring and rivers, administrative divisions into departments with their names and numbers, towns and the networks of main national and regional roads. Short explanatory notes are in French only.
