Prespa - Vitsi – Voras area of northern Greece at 1:50,000 on a light, waterproof and tear-resistant, GPS compatible, contoured map from Anavasi, with recommendations for three hiking trails and notes on the E4 and E6 cross-European trails. The map is double-sided; coverage in the west starts from the Prespa Lake on the border with Albania and Macedonia and continues on the reverse towards the north-east to Edessa to include the Voras / Kaimaktsalan range.
Contour lines are at 20m intervals, with altitude colouring and additional spot heights. The marking for local paths distinguish between those paved, well defined or faint. Road network indicates unsurfaced roads and dirt roads in poor condition, with driving distances marked on main and selected local roads plus locations of petrol stations. Symbols show hotels/hostels, campsites, climbing and paragliding sites, wineries, byzantine and other churches, museums, etc. All place names are in both Greek and Latin alphabets. The map has a 1km UTM grid plus margin ticks for latitude and longitude at 1’ intervals. Map legend includes English.
Also provided are three recommendations for hiking routes, bilingual notes on the E4 and E6 long-distance trail which cross this area, plus on the detachable map cover a general description of this region.
