Indexed, waterproof and tear-resistant road map Baja California with topographic and tourist information, published by Reise Know-How as part of their highly acclaimed World Mapping Project. The map is double-sided to provide the best balance between a good scale and a convenient size sheet.

Roads are easy to see on a clear base which presents topography by altitude colouring with contours at 200m interval, spot heights, mountain passes and names of mountain ranges. The map also shows deserts, seasonal rivers and salt lakes, swamps, tidal flats and areas of seasonal inundation.

Local roads are included, scenic routes highlighted and driving distances and locations of petrol stations marked on main roads. National parks and protected areas are marked and symbols highlight various places of interest: caravan sites, natural curiosities and viewpoints, botanical gardens and golf courses, beaches and marinas, spas, archaeological remains, churches, etc. The map has a latitude and longitude grid at intervals of 30’ and an index of localities. Map legend includes English.

Some elements of the cartography e.g. minor roads and contours are printed relatively faintly compared with other information such as major roads. Although clearly legible on the map, the lower contrast of these details has made them less obvious on the reproduction of the cartography presented here.
