Stretching from the tip of Florida to the mouth of the Orinoco and west to Panama, this is an interesting map dating from 1700. Towns are marked and named, mountain ranges are drawn in as are major rivers. The sea is embellished with drawings of ships and whales, and latitude and longitude lines are drawn. In the top right hand corner of the map is a picture of settlers disembarking from their ships. Reproduced on heavyweight, parchment effect paper, with a generous border area.
