Mount Elbrus and its south-eastern environs on a topographic survey map at 1:100,000 from one of the Russian Army Cartographic Units with all place names in the Cyrillic alphabet and map legend in Russian only.

Contour lines are at 20m intervals, with peak heights and graphics for rocky outcrops, snow covered or exposed ice fields, etc. Colouring shows glaciers and forested areas. The map shows local roads in the Baksan/Azau valley, cart tracks and foot paths, as well as other information usually found on topographic survey maps at this scale: settlements and individual buildings, bridges, electricity transmission lines, etc. The map has no geographical coordinates. All place names are in the Cyrillic alphabet. Map legend and the text are in Russian only. All topographic information extends across the border to Georgia.

Also provided, in Russian, are a table showing the chill factor for various combinations of temperature and wind speed, international codes for conveying information to mountain rescue services, and other drawings with advice on basic first aid.
