Aveyron Tourist Map in a series of tourist maps covering a selection of France’s administrative departments, produced by the Institut Géographique National in collaboration with the local authorities to highlight different types of accommodation, centres of local produce and handicraft, places of interest, various leisure and sport facilities, as well as local footpaths, the GR routes, etc. Each map has the same number as the department, corresponding to the first two digits of its postal code. Cartography and tourist overprint vary - please see individual entries for more detailed descriptions and samples of cartography.

In this title: the department of Ayveron with bright altitude colouring to highlight the topography, particularly the Montagnes d’Aubrac. An overprint highlights various sport and recreational facilities, notable towns and villages, historical and architectural heritage, farms and workshops open to the public, etc. The map has no geographical coordinates. Map legend includes English.

Please note: this title was published in 1996, so the motorway route west of Millau, including the famous viaduct, is marked as under construction.
