Costa del Sol at 1:170,000 in a series of Michelin’s Zoom España maps with exceptionally detailed presentation of the road network on a clear but informative base providing topographic information. Each title includes street plans of city centres in its main towns.
Clear base, with subtle but effective relief shading, spot heights and colouring for wooded areas, has plenty of names of local sierras and peaks. National and natural parks are highlighted and other protected areas are marked.
Road network is exceptionally well presented, from junction numbers, toll barriers and services on motorways to minor local roads, dirt tracks and turnings within small towns and villages. Road classification indicates the number of lanes; dangerous sections, gradients on steep roads, entry restrictions, seasonal closures, level crossings and fords, etc., are marked. Driving distances are indicated on many local roads. Scenic routes and viewpoints are highlighted.
The maps also show railway lines with stations, mountain transport, local airports and, where appropriate, ferry connections. Campsites, mountain refuges, beaches, botanical gardens, and sport or recreational facilities are marked. Small symbols indicate various other places of interest, but overall fewer sights are shown than on alternative road map series, with the publishers recommending their Green Guide to Spain for more information.
The maps are indexed and have latitude and longitude lines at intervals of 10’. Each title also includes indexed street plans of city centres in its main towns, showing main sights and facilities, one way streets and principal traffic arteries.
Map legend includes English.
In this title: street plans of central Málaga, Granada, Almería, Marbella and Algeciras.
