Topographic survey of Peru at 1:100,000 from the Instituto Geográfico Nacional in Lima, the country’s national survey organization. Contours are at 25m intervals, with colouring and/or graphics indicating different types of terrain and vegetation. Some of the maps may contain small blank spaces for areas yet to be surveyed. The maps have a 1km UTM grid and margin ticks for latitude and longitude at intervals of 1’. Publication dates vary; most maps were published in 1960s to 1990s, with some sheets revised more recently. Map legend is in Spanish only, except in the more recent editions which also include English.

Our series grid shows in detail the three most popular trekking areas: Cordillera Blanca and Huayhuash, Cusco with Machu Picchu and Cordillera Vilcanota, plus the volcanoes around Arequipa. As each map in this series covers an area of 30 minutes of latitude by 30 minutes of longitude, the extent of exact coverage by other titles can be easily plotted on a suitable road or regional map of Peru.

Sheets covering border areas (roughly within 30’ of the border) are restricted from sale to the general public.

Approximately 30 sheets of the total 500 are available only in a preliminary edition at around double the price quoted on our website.
