Each of the guides includes essential information including shopping and entertainment, transport information, places to stay and eat and recommended walks and tours and there is also a separate basic overview map at the back of each book. An ‘Essential’ introductory chapter profiles the destination, with information on facts and figures, a suggested itinerary for a short break, an overview of the 25 sights featured, shopping, the destination by night, eating out and a list of restaurants by cuisine.

Each of the sights and activities are organised geographically by region and each section encompasses the principal sights, walks, drives, shopping, entertainment and activities and restaurants. Double-page spreads feature information panels with basic details regarding directions, refreshments and nearby sites, specific tips about visiting the attraction and ‘did you know’ facts. A Need to Know chapter at the back of each guide gives essential tips on planning your trip, getting there and around, customs regulations, health, money, opening hours, telephones and internet access, language and a timeline of the destination.
